Klarna due diligence

Published · Reviewed by The Diligence Standard Team · Updated

Klarna can carry revenue, customer history and operating dependencies, but those assets do not automatically transfer with the business.

Evidence to request

  • Contracting entity and account-owner record
  • Administrator, user-role and recovery-control export
  • Twelve months of native transaction or activity exports
  • Invoices, fees, reserves and bank-payment reconciliation
  • Connected applications, APIs, pixels and credential inventory
  • Written confirmation of the proposed ownership or entity-change path

Transfer risks

  • The account or negotiated commercial terms may not transfer
  • Historical data, reviews, audiences or rankings may not survive a new account
  • An agency, employee or seller-controlled credential may be operationally critical
  • A new underwriting or compliance review may interrupt revenue

Control-change sequence

  • Confirm whether the buyer can replace the legal entity or must establish a new account
  • Preserve native exports, permissions and integration settings before closing
  • Make access migration, cooperation and failed-transfer remedies explicit in the purchase agreement

Official Klarna materials describe current account and service rules; the actual contracting entity, permissions, history and proposed transfer require transaction-specific confirmation.
